This is the most spectacular vintage piece I have ever seen anywhere. You will not get its true impact until you see it in reality.
This is a two piece coat and skirt ensemble in a light aquamarine and white fleck tweed wool circa 1970. The coat is sleeveless and floor length (may require platforms but you'll look like a supermodel!). Almost like a floor length waistcoat which buttons(wooden) to the waist then opens draping in goddess-like fashion to the floor down the sides of the skirt. This is certainly the most original creation I have seen from any era.
The top section of the coat features a striped print in a green/aquamarine spectrum. This srtiped motif is a feature repeated on the bottom section of the coat and also the skirt. The colours are simply fabulous. The wooden buttons of the coat fasten through wool hoops at centre front to waist level.
The skirt, also floor length features the striped motif as mentioned and drapes out volumnously. This ensemble must have required miles of fabric (wool) to make. This is a couture standard vintage garment from quality fabric and a talented designer which must have cost an embarrassing amount of money.
The skirt fastens with a side zip and the entire outfit is fully lined in a cinnamon satin fabric.
This deserves to be in a museum. I will be truly sorry to let it go.
